Job Description:
Sappi Southern Africa requires a Supply Planner to manage the stock in the Supply Chain and extrapolating potential supply issues (over / under) by interacting with different department to ensure that stock capacities are managed within set tolerances as well as manage a Sales & Operation Planning process by ensuring that supply of a specific product balances the demand requirements from both the mills and external customers.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop 12 month rolling plan and future budget
- Manage and execution of demand plan for relevant units (Budget, Forecast, Consensus and reality)
- Update and maintain performance measures
- Stock reporting
- Participate in and contribute to monthly IBP (integrated business planning) process
- Analyse demand forecast to determine long and short-term bottle necks
- Provide relevant reports on areas of planning responsibilities
- Pursue production efficiency in terms of schedule,grades,trim and WIP to achieve mill objectives in terms of profit
- Interact with Mills on outstanding orders
- Maintain planning master data (Material Master)
- Balance Supply & Demand and highlight areas of concern to relevant parties (Procurement, Order Management, Logistics, Sales)
- Manage sales and operations planning (S&OP) process (annually, quarterly, monthly and weekly)
- Production planning and control of assigned units
- Manage and update – Stock Overview by Portfolio(WIP & FG)
- Interact with Logistics & Order Flow outstanding stock movements
- Interact with sales and notify potential supply issues early
Job Requirements:
- Shipping & Clearing / Forwarding experience advantages
- Computer literate
- SAP – APO Modules advantageous
- Three (3) years relevant mill / procurement experience
- Three (3) year degree in supply chain or sales and marketing
