Job Description:

Job Responsibilities:
- Manage detection engineering projects, including process improvement and technology investment
- Integrate an orchestration system for automated triage and response
- Develop a visibility layer related to the detection pipeline which supports debugging and investigating anomalies in our environment
- Contribute to SpaceX’s logging and endpoint security tooling to provide critical data to security analysts
- Build pipelines and APIs to enrich logs and alert results to provide a comprehensive view for security analysts
- Define and maintain the roadmap of program and technology changes being driven by the information security organization
- Contribute to the creation and execution of the detection engineering infrastructure
Job Requirements:
- Building custom systems that allow for easy analysis of system telemetry in a codified and automated fashion
- Building scalable and high-performance systems
- Experience in designing and building complex SIEM workflows (preferably with Splunk)
- Directing and coordinating a technical team to develop quick cyber security solutions
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, information security, computer science; OR 2+ years of information security experience in security operations engineering and infrastructure in lieu of a degree
- Familiarity with industry organizations and individuals that can be leveraged for knowledge sharing and support
- Ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical staff
- Experience with a programming or scripting language (Python, Bash, PowerShell, etc.)
