Job Description:

The Release Manager is responsible for managing, scheduling and coordinating software product releases across the systems landscape for multiple products using cloud- based technology to deploy code into Pre-Production, Testing and Production environments.

Job Responsibilities:

• Drives opportunities which improve quality and efficiencies within Release Management to enhance productivity within the function and across the business
• Accountable for the all activity associated with the release roadmap, aligning code drops for major release into test and production environments
• Responsible for all gateway approvals within the release life cycle ensuring all governance policies adherence
• Accountable for all readiness and implementation documentation and scope associated with a release and all implementation activity within defined operational standards and agreed performance targets
• Ensures that the Release Definition Document (RDD) is maintained
• Drives the identification of internal and external dependencies and providing support, ensuring objectives, and working practices
• Collaborates with Project Managers, Change Managers and with all internal and external stakeholders surrounding release activity for defined packages of work.

Job Requirements:

• Very good communication skills and ability to engage at both the technical (solution architecture) and operations levels
• At least 4 years’ experience 4 years Release management experience at programme level & BAU level
• Must have a high stress tolerance and the ability to work efficiently under pressure
• ITIL v3/v4 qualification is an advantage
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science; IS or related Business/technology discipline
• A high degree of confidentiality, emotional maturity, ethical values and integrity
