Job Description:

To lead, plan and manage all operational activities associated with passenger and ramp service handling in line with our procedures, policies and brand values.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Resolve customer service issues in a timely manner with tact and diplomacy
  • Meet with customers on a regular basis to get feedback and monitor satisfaction levels
  • Review key performance indicators (KPI’s) and convey necessary actions if needed
  • Monitor and analyse the Profit and Loss (P&L) statements for any variances and take appropriate action
  • Take ownership for creating a progressive open and feedback culture by managing the performance and development of employees
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
  • Responsible for proactively managing safety & security processes and procedures to comply with Swissport standards
  • Full responsibility for delivering effective passenger and ramp services solutions to our customers
  • Review new airline and vendor contracts as needed and provide appropriate feedback
  • Lead, motivate and manage staff to deliver on the Service Level Agreements (SLA) with customers

Job Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of managerial experience in the ground handling operations with strong focus on procedural compliance, safety practices and continuous improvement processes
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft suite of programs, including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Highly motivated self-starter, who can effectively prioritize, multi-task and manage to accomplish objectives within prescribed deadlines
  • The nature of this position demands discretion, good judgment and prompt, accurate decision-making, as well as the management of complex situations
  • Outstanding communication skills including written, oral, interpersonal and presentation
  • Ability to be “on call” 24/7 for emergencies
  • Bachelors or Associates degree a plus, but not required
  • Strong knowledge of ground handling operations and services
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
