Job Description:

Responsible for electrical maintenance, diagnosis and fault repairs on production equiptment as well as to perform authorised modifications.

Job Responsibilities:

Maintenance of electrical equipment on production lines and high-speed packaging lines
Attend to and maintain plant production equipment
Do daily inspection schedules on equipment
Handle breakdowns effectively and timeously
Maintenance of electrical systems and components
Proactively ensure that preventative planned maintenance is performed in a cost-effective way to ensure minimum downtime and product losses
Execute breakdown elimination using the SHOPWARE system as a tool
Fault finding and repair of electrical equipment
Support the PM team to reduce the MTTR and increase the MTBF
Come up with Kaizens for to improve the equipment reliability

Knowledge of the profinet
Knowledge of pneumatic systems
Understanding of Tia portal
Electrical faultfinding on e.g. motors, conveyors, DBs etc
FMCG environment preferably packaging equipment exposure
Knowledge of bar-code applicators, scanners and printers
Siemens PLC S300, S400 and S1500
Working knowledge of photo electric and proximity switches is essential
Proper interpretation of electrical schematic diagrams and their altering when necessary
Allen Bradley PLC understanding
PLC and relay control circuit faultfinding
Completed Electrical Trade Test with 3 years post qualified experience
Variable Speed Drives
Basic understanding of the WCM and PM as a pillar
